Recent barn findsurvivor just a month ago 1942 Plymouth Special Deluxe Coupe. This coupe has been in the same family since new was stored in barn here in Maine for 45 years. I have known about this car for over 25 years and one daythe lady decided to sell it to me. This is a rare car because of the war only a few thousands were builtspecially the coupes they stopped production in January of 1942. They had drove this car inthe barn drained theantifreeze out it and once and while turn the motor over making sure it won't get stuck. When I first saw this car I knew it would run again had it running in about an hour runs sweet and very quite. Car is 100 percent all original all complete nothing missing. Condition very good a solid good running car. Dose have some small rust breaking through on right front and rear of right rocker panel. On back sides of both rocker panelsunderneath there is some rust holes can be easily fixed not visible until put on a lift and look for them, verything else is solid. At sometime years ago car was repainted in its original color. Paint dose show some flaking of paint indifferent areas mostly on trunk. Chrome on bumpers light spotting of rest of chrome on car is very good. Here is a list of things I did to get this car on the road new rubber brake lines two steel brake lines rebuilt master cylinder new fuel pump cleaned gas tank and four new tires. Have been driving this car and drives nice put little over a hundred miles on it it has over 73k original miles a fun car to drive. When took this out of barn it was covered in barn dust only thing I did was give it a bath.Upholstery isoriginal is all there back of rear seat is thin stuffing is showing. Dash is in nicecondition everything works except fuel gauge needs a sending unit in gas tank. When I pulled tires of I notice inside hubcaps there is cardboardinsert with jacking and tireinstructions printed on it never seen this before. Car is asurviver barn fresh big part of WW2 history.
