This is a fire truck from the Traverse City State Hospital. It is a Reo Speedwagon from 1920s or older, nd has a 1930 License plate on it. I believe it used to be called the "Old Red", nd can be seen in photographs from that era at the Traverse Cty Historical Archives. All parts and paint are original, nd it has been in storage. There is wear and tear, nd the driver's seat leather upholstery is torn, ut can be restored easily. The truck was used most recently in parades, nd the chrome and brass parts when shined are beautiful. It has the original wood ladder and woven water hoses. Runs but needs a new battery.
