Description of 1952 Other Makes Hornet Sedan

Up for sale is our 1952 Hudson Hornet Twin-H Sedan. It's a great running car and has been maintained well over the years by owners in the national HET club. We bought this car from Larry Cramer in New York about 3 years ago and have had a ton of fun with it since then. We had the interior restored to original specs costing more than $5,500. From the previous owner I have a very detailed history as follows:

Car was originally purchased for the Hudson dealers wife in East Wooster, Y. From there the car was sold to an avid Hudson collector named Jim Maney who owned the car for many years. It was then acquired by Eric Deumler who was the body man at the Haberick Hudson dealer in Amsterdam, Y. Erick owned this car for several years until finally selling it to Larry Cramer in 2003. This was the last Hudson for Eric to sell in his collection. Under Larry's ownership the engine was in need of some top end repair. In 2004-2005, he engine was removed to complete the repairs and Hudson Commodore 8 was installed so he could still cruise around. During this time the car was dubbed the "Hornadore" . Once the original 308 was repaired, he car was then off to be featured at the Northeast Classic Car Museum in Norwich, ew York for the Nifty Fifty's exibit. Please see pictures in the ad.

Overall, his car is a blast to drive around and everywhere you go it gets attention. Wherever you stop folks want to take pictures, ave a conversation or just walk around the car to take it in. I took this car to a local drive in car show shortly after we completed the interior and it was quite the entertainer working the crowd for hours. We won the pre-55 class and won the People's Choice Award compared to the other Ford's and Chevy's at the show.

Here are the details/specs on the car:

Mechanical:

Original matching numbers 308 engine

3 Speed manual transmission (not original, ut I have the original from previous owner)

Twin-H Dual Carb intake setup

New valve and valve guides replaced in 2005

New rings in 2005 (top end rebuild completed)

New plugs

New wires

Brake job completed in 2005

Interior (New Completed in 2014):

New headliner

New carpet

Newly Installed seat belts (not original)

New seat foam

New striped upholstery seat fabric

New rebuilt door panels with matching striped fabric (original spec)

New vinyl - where the old was rotted and no good. Where the old vinyl was still holding up I left it for nostalgic purposes

New sponge rod around all of the doors

New window channeling in all of the doors/windows

Body/Frame:

Original paint on black part of the car according to the last owner. The white part of the top has been repainted at some point. I couldn't bring myself to paint the black as it's only original once.

Minor rust repair under passenger side inner rocker panel

Very solid frame rails all the way around

Some other rust spots on lower black part of the car (due to original paint over 60 years old)

One rust hole in driver side door (I have a door to throw in of you decide to paint car)

This car is very nice but not perfect by any means

Disclaimers:

Car needs some new tires. My dad and I just drive this around town and they are fine however if I were to keep it I would replace before heading out on a roadtrip.

Please let me know if you have any questions and I will work to answer them as quickly as possible.

Thanks!

Scott
