Chassis number: D692 Engine Number: 664 Registration number: SV5287 CAR IS IN UK. Ebay listing is incorrect and won't let me edit it. A lovely quaint & charming little Edwardian in fine running order. Much money has clearly been spent on this car in recent years. The last elderly engineer/owner dismantled the engine when he first got it & found that it had fresh main bearings recently fitted & was in fine rebuilt shape. The magneto has been converted to coil ignition to ensure reliable running. Since then it has been scantly used for the off high day or holiday local jaunt. The 1600cc four cylinder unit fires up easily & pulls well with the three speed gear box being easily mastered. Coachwork is Humber's own take in the form of a comfortable four seat tourer. Black button upholstery exactly replicating the original patterns & retaining the original horse hair stuffing is in situ. to the exterior is pale grey paintwork. The roof is a black canvas affair with leather straps running down to the front wings giving a very period appearance when erected. The car has a good selection of period fittings including a brass acetylene generator & various period lamps. This is a charming little tourer well at home on leafy backroads where it trots along readily at 30mph or so. |
