Description of 1992 Other Makes Lada Niva

This vehicle is great for off-road rallies. There are plenty of Youtube videos of Nivas in action off road and driving through the snow.

I guess you can call it a barn find to some degree; even though I knew where it was all along. I bought it several years ago with a plan to clean it up when I retired. However, y plans changed and I will be going down south in a house where "toys" are not permitted.

I literally drove it in, ut anti-mold bags inside to avoid any smell that you sometimes get when you store in a part of the country with somewhat humid summers. The dust is evidence that the garage itself was nice and dry.

The body is accident free with minimal rust spots and the only rust through being that spot at the edge of the hatchback.

Channel iron was welded to the sides to enable you have easy access jack points that won't buckle in as is usually the case with unibody vehicles. A coat of Hammerite will easily make them presentable. High strength bumpers with tow eyes were fitted, o you can easily attach a tow bar to bring it to an off road playground. No rotten floors, ll glass is good.

The body was lifted to give greater road clearance. (I forgot to measure the clearance, ut it compares to that of a Land Rover) These vehicles are prized for their off-road and cold weather performance and this one is fitted with seats that provide really good lateral support.

A twin cam fuel injection Fiat engine with a KN air intake was fitted (the original engine is in the trunk, f you want to be a purist and change it back). The Fiat engine ran fine when I got the truck.

As we all know, here are no Lada dealers in the US. The previous owner registered it as a 1973 Fiat. I have that title, long with Canadian transfer documents. It is a Russian vehicle. When it passes the 25 year mark making it a classic and getting plates a non-issue in most every state.

The last picture is upside down, It's there to show the condition of underneath.
