1929 Ford Tudor Hot Rod This old school 1929 Ford Tudor hot rod was built in the early 1980's and is currently being sold by the 3rd owner's estate. This beautiful car is a head turner where ever it goes and it is reliable and economical to boot!. The body itself is a 29 Ford Tudor sedan, ll steel, hat has been chopped four and a half inches plus a filled top and then complemented with an excellent red lacquer paint application. The fenders are stock Model A steel. The headlights are stock A but the headlight bar has been dropped. The grill shell is also stock Henry. Bumpers were removed by the current owner as were the A taillights. Inset rear brake lights update the safety factor of the car. Front end has also been dropped 4 inches. The suspension is typically hot rod with a MAS five-inch dropped axle, amaro disc brakes, ete and Jake shocks, 54 Chevy spindles and traditional buggy spring with reversed eyes. Steering is a Mustang box while the master cylinder comes from a '69 Camaro. In back a 10 bolt Spicer rear end uses its drum brakes for stopping while Koni coil-over shocks add to the comfort of the ride. Wheels are American Mag spoke with 145 SR X 15 tires in front and 235 75 R 15's in back. Inside the passenger compartment, pair of Corvette bucket seats in front with a stock bench in the rear. All have been recovered with a combination of tan mohair and vinyl while a stock Model A dashboard is retained but outfitted with a combo of stock and Stewart-Warner gauges. Tilt steering wheel provided by GM topped with a Bell steering wheel. Throttle is a Deuce Factory item that controls the 229 cubic inch V-6 yielding nearly 30 miles per gallon! How is that for economy in a Hot Rod? Mileage: Unknown, peedometer is not working. Paint: RED lacquer with an excellent application and excellent care. Highlighted by a light pinstripe with delicate swirls in the rear quarter panel. Minimal but expected wear marks from polishing and fit issues. Sheet metal: Sheet metal is original Model A steel with excellent fit and no dings. Chrome: Minimal Chrome is bright and shiny including the tie rods and under body pieces. Model A headlights appear to by nickel. Tires and Rims: Rims are American Mag 5 spoke 15 X 8 in the rear and 15 X 5 in the front. Front Tire is Kleber C1 145 SR X 15 Rear Tire is Michelin 235 SR X 15 Mechanical: ThisHot Rod is in excellent mechanical condition sporting a Chevrolet V-6 with 229 cubic inches. Engine is stock with a bit of chrome and a pair of Sanderson headers for a corvette. GMC 250 C 3 speed transmission with Mustang linkage and floor shifter. Not built for tire burning speed but rather for "cruisen" and long distance rides. TITLE: Clean, lear, alifornia and current registration.
