This truck is about as good as it gets for a mostly original 53 year old truck. There is no rust on the truck other than some surface rust on the undercarriage. It has a new paint job with a few runs. It was painted with single stage paint as original. The truck is painted in the correct green for the model year but I think that it may have been blue originally. Not sure. The little 223 six runs perfect and has loads of torque. Clutch is solid but could use some adjustment. I have the original style radio that would have come in the truck but haven't installed it as I really don't know how. It's an AM with a chrome front. Looks really cool but I don't know if it works or not. So, he story I got about the truck is that it belonged to a local farmer who used it very little. He then gave it to his grandson but it wasn't cool enough, ast enough or whatever enough. It was sold to an elderly gentleman who was going to restore it but didn't have the time. I bought it from him. The bed was rotted away so I told the seller I would have to replace the wood in the bed. He said he just happened to have a bunch of rough cut black walnut that I could have to redo the bed. So the bed is maybe one of a kind. I planed down the walnut and cut in the grooves and replaced all of the strips with stainless steel. I didn't stain the wood just put about four coats of satin poly on it. Check out the pics it looks great. The tires are really good. Don't have the original steel wheels and chrome hubcaps but I wish I did. The truck does have chrome bumpers which is a surprise since everything else is really basic but they look really good. I am offering this truck at a fair price. It would be great to completely restore it or just drive it the way it is. (which is what I'm going to do if it doesn't sell) I just have too many vehicles and I have to get rid of some things. My loss, our gain. Any questions feel free to ask. I will answer if I can. Thanks for looking.
