If you are into preserving British history, his car is for you. Up for auction is an original 1966 Triumph TR4. This car the the perfect candidate for a restoration, aily driver or it can be made into a really fun vintage racer. Every piece is on the car. I am selling this for a friend. The car is a one owner, lear title with approximately 103000 miles. It has a 2.1 liter four cylinder engine with twin side-draft carburetors. The car ran and drove until it was parked 25 years ago. The owner had the intent to restore it. The fluids were changed, as tank and carburetors cleaned and the car started. That's as far as the restoration got.The remainder of the drive train appear to be in good condition with the gear box being smooth. I cannot speak for the condition of the clutch as it was not driven when it was started a year ago. The brake system will need reconditioning. The body of the car is very solid with very little surface rust. The body is clean and straight. I did notice a skim coat of body filler on the fenders (possibly covering a parking lot rash). The car appears to have been painted before. The convertible top is missing but the frame is present and in good condition. It has original true spoke wheels (will need re-chroming). The leather seats and door cards are in very good shape. They only need reconditioning. The car comes with the original TR4 shop manual and a few maintenance receipts. Nothing is missing from this car. It just needs to be loved again. I'm a car guy and I have tried to provide you with the most accurate assessment I could. The owner and I are not responsible for information not described in this listing. If you have any questions or would like me to look at something in particular on the car, lease email me and I will respond ASAP. The buyer is responsible for shipping. A $500.00 deposit is due 48 hours at the end of the auction.
