I have a matching number motor 1978 camaro Z/28 NHRA/IHRA stock eliminator race car. The car is an original black on black car. The interior of this car has an 8pt chromoly roll bar tig welded in and has a swing-out bar on the driver side. The rest of the interior is stock black, ilt steering with the normal Autometer tach and guages with a 5 way seat belt harness. The body was recently repainted with every inch of the car taken apart and painted silver, he bodywork was minimal since I started with a 100% rust free 45000 original mile car. There is a 5 gallon fuel cell in the trunk with an Aeromotive fuel pump and -8an line run up front to the regulator and -6an line to the carb. The wheels are Weld Wheels, as Moroso tires in the front and Hoosier 9x30 radial slicks in the back with around 20 runs on them. The motor is the original matching number 180hp 350 block now 355ci rated by NHRA at 283hp but has more. The motor has forged pistons, agle crank and rods, PPG tooled steel coated lifters, omp cams cam, ew heads with stainless valves and beehive springs. The intake is the factory aluminum one with a reworked Q-jet carburator. The headers are Dynatec 5/8 to 3/4 step coated headers with Collector tethers. The transmission is a Rossler th350 with a 2.75 low gear, everse pattern, luminum drum, nd lightened components. The shifter is a Turbo Action Cheetah shifter. The converter is an ATI 8 inch race converter that stalls at 5200rpm. The rear end is the original 8.5 rear end with Mark Williams 35 spline spool and axles along with an aluminum support cover and a Richmond 5.38 gear. newer driveshaft was made with 1350 u-joints. The whole car is pretty fresh (50 runs or so), ew Calvert split mono-leafs, al-trac traction bars and Calvert rear shocks, ew suspension in front with urethane bushings, onger upper ball joints, nd competition engineering shocks. The brakes were all new a couple of years ago with new lines and braided lines instead of rubber hoses. The car runs .5 tenths under its index in IHRA and .2 tenths under its NHRA index in the 1/4mile with ALOT more left and it is legal and will pass tech!! It has run 12 teens at 108 in the 1/4 and 7 sixties in the 1/8 mile. The car runs in H,Iand J/sa and the car is very light at 3060 lbs. without a driver and you will need to ad weight to fit in I and J/sa. This would be a great starter car for someone who wants to go Stock racing or someone that wants a really nice footbrake bracket car. I am only selling it to buy a Chevelle and if it doesn't sell I will keep on racing it since i do like the car. I will not end this early. If you have questions you can call me on my cell @ 330-717-4630. Thanks, Dave
