This 1989 M978 Tanker Truck is awesome! I own twodifferent HEMTT's and just recently got both of them. Surprisinglythey drive pretty awesome! This tanker truck goes about 63 to 64 MPH and rides very smooth. The Detroit Diesel sounds awesome when your going down the road. The pumping station on the back looks pretty new. You can tell thecarc is different and based off the tags and markings I would say it was replaced in 2007 and barely used after that. The tires are in almost new condition with two of them still having the nipples on the tires. Thepair is brand new. From the looks of it I would guess that the entire truck was gone over in the last 7 years or so and then not used much. The insulation is missing over thepassenger seat and the roof panel was re installed. They must have had a turret on the roof at some point. I do have a brand new complete rear assembly in a crate that I can sell for $3,700 as well as a brand new complete cab in a crate complete with all LED lights I can sell for $3,500. I'm in no way a HEMTT expert but I would say this truck is in great shape with everything working. I forgot to mention that I have 4 new driving axels that I can sell for $600 each. These are complete with the brakes and chambers. See my other listings. i have another 20 trucks left to sell along with a pile of M998's and one new M1113 converted to a M1151.
