Description of 1959 Other Makes magnette

Up for consideration is a 1959 MG Magnette. This is a very rare. hard to find car. This car has been sitting for 10+ years without being driven. This was last plated and driven in the 90s and has pretty much been sitting since. This would be a great candidate for a total restoration. Currently the motor is stuck. I have Kerosene soaking in the cylinders and will update my ad if the motor frees up. This motor was turning freely just 2 years ago and I do not believe there is any mechanical damage in this engine. This car is complete with the original interior in original condition. all electrics seem to be in tact and working. it has the original tool kit. with original spare and air pump. the wood dash has no cracks and is in good condition. The underneath of the car has surface rust. however. it does seem to be very solid. I did put it on a lift to take pictures so you could see the condition. As you can see in the pics. the trunk is very solid. as well as the floor boards. The areas that I see that have rust problems and possibly body filler are right below the backside of the front fenders where they meet the rocker panels. It appears that the front rocker panels do have quite a bit of rust. but very repairable. This is a very hard MG to find. I think this one would be great for total restoration. or make enough repairs to make an authentic driver again. We are located in West Lafayette. In 47906.
