Was built over the winter of 2014/2015, mostly from parts around the shop. Frame and motor 5.9 Cummins [180 pump] are from a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500, transmission 47RH from a1994 [rebuilt], differential D80 from a1998 [410gears, LS], I have other Allis tractors but always wanted a D21 so I decided to build one. Started with the frame, Had it sand blasted and primed. Shortened it to suit, The motor runs perfectly only about 180K miles, the trans was rebuilt with a new billet torque convertor.[About 10,000 miles on it] .I had a good picture of a D21 and tried to make it look as close as possible given that I wanted it to be drivable on the road, [It is licensed and insured],The front suspension is 96 Ram 2500 as are all the brakes. The rear suspension is air shocks as there is not a lot of weight on the back. The second seat was added for my 10 year old grandson - Everyone wants a ride on it!!! Have taken it to car shows and pulled floats in parades, A great Sunday driver, [ turns heads. ] The motor is turned up a bit and has far more power than you can use. The trans is controlled with a B&M ratchet shifter and 2 toggle switches for overdrive and lockup. It drives nice in town and on the hwy. It has a GPS for a speedometer and odometer, an Autometer tack, plus all the other gauges you can think of.
