I am selling my 1961 Checker Superba. For those of you who are familiar with Checkers, you know how rare the Superba line is. The Superba was the precursor to the Marathon line. They were made from 1961-1963. Not many were manufactured and very few remain in this kind of condition. The Superba has the distinct starburst grill in the front (see photo). This Superba has the original Continental straight 6 engine, 3 speed manual on the tree, mostly original interior, NOS recently inner rockers installed, rebuilt generator, and new brakes. The car runs great and needs nothing to drive it everyday. I would not hesitate taking it anywhere. I recently drove it on a 500 mile trip to the National Checker Convention. The car is far from mint but is VERY presentable and a great candidate for full restoration. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I can assist with shipping. In addition to the car, I have an original light up dealer sign (not included in the sale) in mint condition that can be purchased with the car at an agreed price (see photo). If you have less than 10 feedbacks, please contact me before bidding.
