I am selling my husbands 1980 retro electric Comuta-car because it is a project he doesn't have time for. I don't know much about it. Feel free to ask question and I will get him to answer them. Thanks for your interest and happy bidding!On Jan-07-15 at 17:06:45 PST. seller added the following information:My wife said it does not have an engine which is true. it has a motor (because it's electric). She had asked me through a text. while I was at work. what kind of engine it had. and I simply answered "It does not have a engine. " not thinking of what she would do with that info. Funny. This was a project that a friend and instructor of mine willed to me knowing I had the skills. but not knowing I didn't have the time to finish it up. The fiberglass is in rough shape where something fell on it and the metal parts that could rust have some surface rust. The frame is aluminum and in great shape. The tires look original and one is blown out. I received the car in non running condition. It was in the process of having the speed controller upgraded to one from a forklift. The motor is there (which I was told was upgraded). the original three speed relay type speed controller. and the forklift speed control. just no batteries. All I did to get the lights to work was hooked up a jumper box to the proper wires. It is definitely a project car. I hope there is someone out there that would like to take over the project because it's one cool little car!As I have time I will try to add more pictures and more to the description. but right now it's time to eat!
