Description of 1946 Other Makes Armstrong Siddeley |
Armstrong Siddeley Motors Limited was in business in Coventry, England from 1919 to 1960. During the 1930's, they produced large expensive cars in competition with Rolls Royce. Some were even used by the English Royal Family. W.O. Bentley joined Armstrong Siddeley in the 1930's after leavening Rolls Royce and influenced the design of their cars. The company produced engines for the British Air Force during WWII. A smaller line of cars to compete with Bentley were introduced after the war and were named after British aircraft.
