Description of 1966 Ford Mustang

1966 Ford Mustang Convertible, ORIGINAL with 10935 miles
Up for your consideration is an original 1966 Ford Mustang C Code convertible with only 10935 documented original miles. Finished in Raven black with the black convertible top and black vinyl interior. One of the best and desirable color combinations and shows very well. Never any modifications ever as this beautiful automobile has been kept in its original condition from production .
The original Raven black paint shows well with very minor touch up over the years. All body panels are original with no body work ever performed. The body is extremely straight with no dents or dings. There is a very minor crease at the rear bottom of the left quarter panel. The wheel house opening lips on the inside of the front fenders and rear quarter panels are like brand new. Also, the original Ford stamp markings are very visible and show well.
The drive train consists of the 289-V-8 engine with a 2 barrel carburetor and performs flawlessly with no strange noises or leaks. The automatic 3 speed transmission also performs flawlessly and shifts perfectly. This Mustang drives down the road very nice and the body is very tight.
All chrome and stainless trim are in very good condition.
The black interior is the standard bucket seat interior and shows absolutely no wear of any kind, like new. No fading or stains, even the rear seat belts have the original plastic wrapping on them from the factory. You open the doors and your first thought would be incredible.
The power convertible top is original and performs perfectly with no issues. The convertible top boot is original also.
The trunk is very nice with original trunk mat and pad. Under the trunk mat and pad is like new, even the cardboard panel on left side looks new.
The weatherstripping and glass are in a very good condition.
This 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible sits on the original 6.95 x 14 Firestone Deluxe Champion white wall tires. The spare tire is also original and never been on the ground. The original wheel covers are beautiful and like new. Recent maintenance performed, clean and pack front wheel bearings, overhaul all 4 brake wheel cylinders, clean up all brake hardware including original brake shoes which are like brand new, adjust brakes all 4 assemblies, flush and bleed brake system, change oil and oil filter. The undercarriage is extremely nice and clean as this Mustang was undercoated when new. The undercoating thickness is very thin as you can see the original red oxide primer through much of the undercoating. The brake lines, fuel line and emergency brake cables are all original and in perfect condition.
In summary, what an opportunity to own a documented original 1966 Ford Mustang convertible with only 10935 original miles that has never been modified in any way. The originality speaks for itself looking through out this beautiful automobile. Its extremely evident that this Mustang was stored properly over the years to be in the wonderful preserved condition that it is in.
