Uprated to 3/4 ton capacity per military specs GM's 6.2L J-series Detroit Diesel V8 engine non-emissions diesel Turbo-Hydramatic transmission 10-bolt axles (front and rear) featuring 3.08:1 gears (rear axle has an Eaton Automatic Differential Lock (ADL) while the front is a standard open differential) Rated for a 1,200 lb (540 kg) payload and a 3,000 lb (1,400 kg) towed load Has the heaviest duty GM springs available for the chassis Yes, there's rust in all the expected places and some of it is pretty bad. But body parts are super easy to come by since the body is a Chevy K5 Blazer. It was running when we parked it a few months ago, not sure if it is now.
It was bought to be a project with my son as his first vehicle but soon realized that with it being diesel & 24 volt that we were out of our comfort zone.
