Description of 1959 Singer Gazelle

Interested in a sporty British convertible but can't afford a Sunbeam Tiger, consider buying my much more affordable 1959 Singer Gazelle convertible.
This car is a rare and unique British car manufactured under the Rootes Group banner (including Sunbeam, Hillman, Talbot & Singer) that is enjoyable and fun to drive. You will definitely stand out from the crowd in this car.
This Gazelle was purchased by me in 2014. The prior owner upgraded the car to a reliable 2.3 liter fuel injected Ford engine and an A4OD three speed overdrive automatic running gear with a floor shifter which provide a much peppier ride than the original equipment. The prior owner also installed a new convertible top, front seat belts, aluminum radiator and exhaust. Since purchasing the car, I replaced the interior carpeting and recovered the seats and door panels. The car has been driven less than 500 miles since my purchase. The odometer currently shows 40,609 miles, however, true mileage is unknown. A new battery was installed in August 2018. The car has a three position convertible top that was replaced in 2013 and the interior was replaced in 2014. The body is in generally good condition but does show some rust spots, dings and dents. One of the windshield wiper arms is missing (2 replacement wiper arms can be purchased for approximately $45 plus shipping-see info in photos). The car has a baby blue vinyl top boot as shown in the pictures and stock steel wheels with white wall tires, polished hubcaps and wheel rims. One of the white wall tires recently went flat and the black wall spare is currently shown in the photos fitted on the rear driver's side with the white wall tire now in the trunk. The cabin is finished with blue/gray vinyl seats and interior panels and black carpeting. The car is being sold as is with period literature and a clean Maryland state title in the seller's name.
This sale is a re-listing after the successful bidder of the prior sale failed to complete the purchase though not due to any fault with the vehicle or the seller.
