Description of 1960 Other Makes Deluxe

Other Makes. 1960 Anglia 105 E Deluxe 2 door coupe. Southwest desert car since new with zero rust. It is so clean, I took pictures of the inner wheel well. There is no rust on this car at all. It had about a half inch of dust inside of it and I cleaned that out to find just the factory paint. Even as Arizona cars go, this one is outstanding. The factory paint has been baked by the desert heat as have the rubber and plastic parts. I see no evidence of any prior body repair on this and it presents itself as a largely unmolested original survivor. It looks straight as an arrow. There are some dings and bangs when you really get up close you will find some very soft bumps. I don't think anyone could ask for a better 60 year old car to either restore, hot rod or race. There are several websites devoted to this make and the rally cars look like a whole bunch of fun. I have found a surprising supply of reproduction and restoration parts for these. What I have found missing are the two front seats, I have the upper and lower back seat in good recoverable condition, There is one small round badge on the rear pillar that needs a plastic insert on one side and is missing on the other side. This needs the ANGLIA plastic insert for the front. The rear has both badges. When I cleaned out the trunk I found the missing front bumper guard. The factory jack is still in the trunk. This has a key in the ignition, but it doesn't seem to work. I don't know if it is the correct one or not. It fits like it is. The speedometer is reading just over 60,000 miles. It is very nice with no rust or pitting on it. I saved the door panels to use for patterns and they have some trim on them. I found the driver's armrest in the trunk while cleaning. All of the plastic and rubber is amazingly bad. The desert has cooked it to rock hardness. The reproduction people seem to have all of this covered. The one part I do not have is the right rear quarter glass. This is in a metal frame and it is missing. It is the same for every year, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I have not done anything mechanical to the car except lube the door hinges and latches. I tried putting water in the radiator and it came out the freeze plugs. There is clean oil on the dipstick. This still has the original oil bath air cleaner. I put on a new set of premium radial tires. The gear shift works smoothly and the parking brake works. This car has a hydraulic clutch and I have not touched that as I think this might be the Girling type fluid that doesn't work with DOT 3 fluid. I do not have a title for this car. it was last registered in 1970 and has been passed among family members like uncle Charlie's ashes. The factory plate is present and legible. This car is field fresh and ready for whatever you'd like to do with it. There is a guy in Phoenix with a supercharged small block Chevy in his and the hood still closes. I have liked these cars since they were new. When I was 5 our neighbor bought one to commute in. I still remember that little car rolling down the street in an era of '59 Chevy's and big fin Cadillac's. It looked just a little bit larger than my pedal car. These seem to have a cult following because of Harry Potter. This one doesn't fly. I'm guessing with some work, maybe. I need half of the winning bid within five days. The balance must be paid within ten days. It is up on tires, it rolls it steers and the parking brake works. I can help with shipping anywhere. No Pay Pal with this sale. All funds must clear my account before the car leaves my possession.
