Description of 1990 Ford Mustang

I am listing a project that I have lost interest in. It is a verified Special Service Package,FACTORY 5 SPEED!, Ex-Texas State Trooper car. Still has Texas property tag and Unit Number Tag MO-706. Have known of the history of this car since it was repainted solid Red and sold at Texas Surplus sale in 1995. Bought it from second owner in 03 and drove it occasionally. In 2016 suffered a flood event. Freshwater did get over the dash.

Car will need a ground up restoration. Body and frame are basically solid. Second owner repainted it Cherry Black and was decent job. Core support has been replaced (no buck tags). Roof is worse part as it was covered with blue tarp and has heavy pitting before I got it. A-Pillars have issues form the shavings for hole drilled in them for spotlights. Floor pans minor holes but rails and torque boxes great. Doors close well and body not twisted from excessive quarter mile exhibitions. Motor not original because second owner lost oil pump and kept driving. Trans lost 3rd gear and was replaced with overpriced junkyard unit. Both motor and trans are locked. Most likely not rebuild-able. Rear end has 3.73 gears and was not effected. Rolls and steers easily. Rims were Re-Powder Coated when I got the car. Police spare in trunk.

Interior has been cleaned up. Seats were replaced due to holster wear on drivers bolster. Does have manual windows, quick trunk release, 160 speedo, and other SSP modifications.
Clear Title in my name. Car is over 30 years old and exempt from damage branding.

If you are going to restore a car, might as well start off if something in bad shape and replace or repair everything. That way you know it is right.

I make no apologies for the condition of car. It has been abused more than your average Mustang and survived with out any major collision damage. All Fox body Mustangs have a built in "Pole Attraction Device" in the drivers seat. This system will sense when the rear tires break free of traction and send a signal to the steering rack to find the nearest object to hit (light pole, tree, parked car, culvert, ect. ). Mother Nature hates these cars and will find a way to get them in the end. All questions welcome. I have owned over 1000 Mustangs over last 40 years and consider myself an expert on these cars.
P.S The price is firm on the car because it is a Cop Car with a 5 Speed! Worth the extra $$$ for the coolness factor.
