Vehicle Details 1968 Pontiac Firebird convertible, equipped with a 4.1l; 250 c.i.d. engine and manual 3 speed transmission. Vehicle has been in storage for approximately 20 years. It has been a desert southwest car, save for road trips to Iowa for an annual car show. Vehicle is said to have been repainted and upholstered circa 1980 along with an engine rebuild under the stewardship of the original owner. The car shows no signs of rust, doors open and close in a solid manner, paint is in good shape for its age. It does have a few nicks and dings about the body. The convertible top has a slight tear near the rear seam and a few blemishes. Some of the weather stripping around the window seals could use a freshen up. The upholstery is 1980's correct, aesthetics aside, it is in relatively good shape. Vehicle rides nicely, starts, runs and drives. Upon removal from storage, the fuel tank, radiator, and carburetor were removed and serviced. A new alternator, voltage regulator, and master cylinder were also installed. The original points style ignition system has been upgraded to a Petronix electronic unit. The vehicle has new GT radial tyres, and a routine lube job has been performed. Included in the sale are numerous extra parts, including but not limited to the original radio, steering wheel, transmission cover, extra wheel hubs, an extra valve cover with camshaft, new lifters etc. Vehicle has current Texas registration, inspection and title.
