Description of 1979 Jeep CJ CJ-7 Golden Eagle

1979 Jeep Golden Eagle I6

This 1979 Jeep CJ-7 Golden Eagle Levi Edition is in very original and correct condition with original Alpaca Brown paint, Golden Eagle decals, and the correct stamped/date coded Gold Wheels with black pinstripe. The rare 8632 Classic Warn Winch works perfectly and even has the controller with it. This is an excellent running and driving factory 258 inline 6 with plenty of torque, and 4 speed transmission that shifts easily, with a dual-speed transfer case that shifts into gear without hesitation. Tilt Wheel, Power brakes, power steering, tires with 85% tread..this runs, stops, drives great and have taken on several multi-hour drives. Gas tank is custom built and high end. The floors are in good condition with original paint (no bed liner to hide rust. 4 wheel drive is in excellent working condition. Recently replaced the fender flares, went through a mechanical inspection and safety check. Even has a fire extinguisher if you really want to wheel!

The front bucket seats are brand new best top low backs to closely match the original levi rear seat with correct Levi buttons. Original factory center console, tach, clock, CB radio that works, and a very nice golden eagle dash pad. Gauges and lights work well, has a custom built rear tire rack, with cooler rack and old school coke bottle opener. Has the original rear roll bar with the gold fabric cover, but the previous owner added the front roll bar for additional safety, so will accompany the rig. Comes with half doors in nice condition, with the original saddle bikini tip, saddle doors, black soft top with full black soft doors. But who would ever want to put the top on!

There is a small rust spot on the lower drive side but I didn't want to repair and paint over the original patina, I'll let the next owner decide. Some bumps and bruises you can see in the picks but overall very solid condition for a 40+ year old jeep.

This is ready for summer cruising, doesn’t overheat, or make it trail ready.
