Up for sale we have a 1936 Marlene 500K / 540K Mercedes replica built by Classic Roadsters in Fargo, North Dakota. In the 1920's and 30's, Marlene Dietrich was a German actress that gained massive popularity from her silent films. The famous actress was in love with the Mercedes-Benz 500K but she couldn't drive it because it was too large for her petite body. In 1936, Mercedes-Benz was commissioned to build a one of a kind smaller version of the 500K that Marlene Dietrich could enjoy. That's how this stunning replica got the name Marlene. This 540K tribute for sale here is finished in a bright white color with a blue canvas top and interior, it is a rare Limited Edition full of nice options as you can see in the pictures, beautiful chrome accents and prewar features found all around such as the ornamental supercharged exhaust pipes with chrome rings on both sides of the hood, prewar style grill and massive hood ornament, elegant chrome body molding, antique headlights and spotlights, dual dummy cowl lamps, chrome bumpers with uprights, functional dual horn trumpets with a nice vintage sound, chrome dual exhaust, and much more to be mentioned. This Marlene was also fitted with brand new wide whitewall tires and has real wire wheels that are in excellent condition. The interior offers dark blue seats, door panels, and carpeting to match the blue canvas top. Beautiful wooden dash and vintage banjo steering wheel with chrome accents all around for a nice classy look. A super nice and clean interior, functional interior lights on the door panels and underneath the dash along with power windows. This replica is powered by a Ford 302 V8 motor and an automatic transmission, new aluminum radiator and new alternator, very clean engine compartment, everything in good working order, car runs and drives nicely, this Marlene has only 360 miles since completion.
