Hi, thanks for viewing my auction. Here is my very nice 1976 pontiac trans am 400cid with a automatic transmission for sale. The person I purchased this car from has owned this car since 1981 and bought it from the original owner! This car was in storage for approximately 25 years and when I received it, I went through it to make sure that the car would be reliable and ready for any road trips.

The fuel system was completely gone through replacing the tank, all soft lines and clamps. The carburetor was sent off and completely rebuilt and fuel pump replaced. Power steering hoses were replaced along with the alternator rebuilt. Cooling system was fully sorted out with new water pump, new radiator using a aluminum heavy duty unit. System flushed and refilled with fresh coolant. All belts replaced.

The complete brake system has been overhauled including a new master cylinder, flex hoses, front brake calipers, pads,rear wheel cylinders shoes and hardware kit. Front rotors were refinished, wheel bearings cleaned and repacked with grease and seals replaced. A brand new set of Cooper Cobra tires installed. Transmission was fully surviced with fluid and filter change. AC system completely serviced including compressor, hose set, VIR eliminator kit, converted to the new 134A refrigerant. The AC system operates as new with super cold operation! All fans and controls operate like new. All gauges, lights, wipers, windows, horn, radio, signals etc operate properly. The clock is the only thing that is nonoperational. Even the trunk light and door buzzer operate! Seats, carpet and door panels are original and in great condition! Headliner is very nice. Dash pad is original with no breaks or cracks anywhere. The glass on this car is in perfect condition and the windshield was professionally replaced due to the rock chip. Radio was replaced with a Kenwood AM,FM cassette player with new coaxial rear speakers. System sounds amazing! Original radio is included. The trunk has the original mats, tools, jack and space saver spare tire. Engine was completely detailed, valve cover gaskets replaced, covers painted with the proper paint. This engine looks brand new. All gaskets replaced, brackets bead blasted and recorated the proper color. This was a very time consuming project which makes the car show amazingly! Hood pad was replaced and engine was completely serviced with all tuneup parts including plugs,wires,cap,rotor, K&N air filter and of course the oil was changed with filter.

This car starts right up, runs on the fast idle choke, comes off and operates like new! You will not find a better running trans am. The engine makes great power and the transmission shift perfect. No strange noises, rattles, just flawless operation. I would drive this car anywhere! I am a ASE certified mechanic that has 40÷ years restoring classic cars for a living and this car is well sorted out! Exterior paint is mostly original, looks like the bumpers were resprayed at some point and touched up here and there but no rust, very presentable and very shiny. Decals are original and look nice. Evrytime i drive this car is get plenty of thumbs up, waves and shout outs. Stopping can incure long conversations with admirers asking "is this car fully restored" It presents that good!
