Description of 1955 Other Makes 3100 Pickup

This truck is one of two prototypes built for the start-up company "Southern Motor Company" of South Carolina. This particular one was used as an EPA Mule. It was built in 08 by Panoz in Braselton Georgia. It is extremely fast and will do over 150 MPH! This is not a truck for the purists. BodyThe cab of the truck has been stretched 10 inches behind the B-Pillar and it has been widened by 4 inches. (See Pictures)ChassisThe truck is sitting on a custom 4 inch round tube chassis. This chassis is very rigid and has QA1 coilovers w/ Hyperco springs up front and coils in the rear. DrivetrainThe whole drivetrain from a 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby Gt500 was used for the build; Engine. Transmission. Driveshaft and Rear Axle. The clutch has been upgraded to a Mcleod RXT Twin Disc rated for 800 hp. The intake has been upgraded to a k&n system. Currently the drivetrain has 27k miles. Only about 500 on the clutch. (See Pictures) It has functioning cruise control. ABS brakes (Brembo) and traction control. InteriorThe interior. HVAC. firewall and floorpan are also from an 08 GT500. (See Pictures) Current Work in ProgressI have removed. sand blasted and dp'd the front fenders. (The front fenders will be reinstalled once the grille is done. I also have new headlight parts)The rear fenders have been removed to be blasted and dp'd. The grille has been removed to replace the lower two bars (These were cut for the non-factory bumper to fit)The rear bumper (non-factory) has been removedOne power window is partially installedVehicle is sold AS IS/WHERE IS. There is normal wear and tear on vehicle. This is a running/driving truck however it will need some TLC to be finished. Some photos are from initial build and some are more recent.
