Offered for sale is a rock solid unmolested 1929 Packard DeLuxe 8 model 640 Club Sedan. Vin #173418, ody# 346-1127. This car was sold new in Minneapolis but has been in dry California and Nevada most of its life. Just out of long term storage since 1971. The fuel system has been cleaned, he Detroit Lubricator carburetor rebuilt with new parts from Steve Babinsky and the car is now running nicely off its original vacumn tank system. The engine sounds very strong, dles well, nd starts easily. It will smoke a little when it warms up. The cooling system is working well with a rebuilt water pump. All lights working, ll glass good, xcellent wire wheels with older whitewalls. The body is very straight, he doors close like a Packard should. The car has been given a quick coat of paint in the original color just to preserve it but will require further paint work. The interior, s shown in the pictures, s all original. It could be used as is with just the front seat recovered and a few repairs, ut it is old and quite dirty so would need some effort put into it. It has a nice original club sedan trunk. The trunk rack has been hit and repaired at some point in the life of the car. It is missing only the horn button and the rear seat robe rail. This is an unusual opportunity to buy a handsome closed Packard in a rare body style. Clear California title in my name. Happy to help with overseas shipping.
