Description of 1954 Packard Clipper Panama |
1954 Packard Clipper Panama. 327 Packard Thunderbolt Straight Eight / 2 Barrel Carter Carb / Ultramatic Transmission. I purchased the car in 2014 for a future restoration project, but I haven't had the time to commit to the car. Here is what I know about the Packard… Engine:
Body: The quarter panels have been repaired in the past using filler. If you were to reach up under the quarters, you could feel wear they are rusted and need replaced / patched. You cant really make it out in the pictures, but the rear window corners have been repaired in the past as well. There are small amounts of filler in other places, but those are the major areas. The trunk lid has fish eyes in the paint job that you can’t really make out. You can see where the filler webbed over time. The car seems to have an older restoration and its starting to show. The underside of the car needs to be scraped and undercoated. I bought the car as a driver / future project. I was going to refurbish the car mechanically to drive for a while and then complete a full restoration. For not being restored, this car looks good and gets a lot of attention. I’m selling the car because my wife and I had a baby last year and I don’t have time to commit to the car. It’s been stored in my garage since 2014. I’ve described everything I know about the vehicle to the best of my knowledge. The vehicle is being sold “as is” with no implied warranties or guarantees. I’m saying this because the vehicle is 62 years old and I will not be held responsible for any unforeseen issues with the car. If you should have any questions or need additional photos of the car, feel free to contact me. Buyeris responsible for pickup or shipping. This is a great looking car and an excellent candidate for restoration. Happy Bidding!! |
