Description of 1931 Packard 833 Coupe 833 Coupe |
Video Up for bid is my 1931 Parkard Deluxe Rumble Seat Coupe Model 833. This is a lovely older ground up proper restoration that has held up very nice as you can see here in the movie and all the detailed pictures. This car underwent a recent complete mechanical rebuild from front to back far exceeding my reserve here on Ebay and only has 632 miles since the rebuild. This Packard has Four forward speeds with an extra low gear from the factory on 31 Packards referred to in the hobby as a Granny gear. Designed to go up any size hill no matter what. This is also the reason why some of these cars were cut up and used as tow trucks later on in the 1940’s. Luckily this car survived as a fine original before the restoration. This is without question one of the nicest Driving Packards I ever owned. The car is tight with no wonder and handles beautiful. All six tires are new as well showing little or no usage. All the chrome plating is excellent as is the interior and rumble seat area. The paint has also held up very nice overall and the car presents very strong. One could pick on minor spots but again nothing that takes away from this beautiful car. There is one spot at the bottom of the passenger door that has a little paint bubble but has been there for years. Make no mistake as I am a fussy collector and this is a great good looking car that can be driven across the country if needed. its that good. All the paint work is still real nice and can be shown and or driven with pride. This car started life out as you see it from the factory with the dual side mount spares with factory cover bands with the Packard script mirrors as well. You also have the Oaks locks in the spares and they are beautiful as is the details and striping on all the wheels like the day they were new. The body is super strait with no signs of bondo or sagging. You have the correct beautiful Packard Stone Guard and super trip lights as well. There is the original Packard Lady on the radiator and there’s even a Packard heater in the car. The inside upholstery is correct and in fine shape as is all the dash graining and instruments. The car has the deluxe luggage rack and I have a line on the original trunk that came with the car and if I get it she will be included with the sale. All of the undercarriage still presents well as seen from the pictures including the engine bay area with one of the best porcelain manifolds I have seen in a long time. Make no mistake this is a great full Classic Packard and a rumble seat coupe as well. priced like some open Model A’s that I own. Someone is going to get a great car far less than if a dealer had it for sale. Don’t miss out on this Packard. Best of luck to all. I accept all checks. money orders and credit cards including Pay-Pal. personal checks must clear my bank before I can let the car go. A deposit from the winning bidder of $ 1000. 00 will hold the car till you can come and see or have the car picked up and if this car is not as described in this add I will refund your deposit back to you in full 100% No Questions Asked. I can arrange shipping for you door to door if you wish and will be more than happy to accommodate you in any way to make buying your car a safe and easy transaction.
