Description of 1975 Cadillac DeVille

A Cadillac collector friend sold this car to me and my father in August 2010. Our friend bought the car from its original owner on July 5. 2007. With "Barnfind" getting overused these days. we hesitate to use the term but in this case. our friend really found this gorgeous Caddy in a Sunnyside WA barn. Please see a copy of the original title. a copy of the original Craigslist ad when purchased by our friend. and accompanying images of the car as discovered. The lady. who bought the car new at Coeur d'Alene Cadillac in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. was a school teacher in Sunnyside and owned Schinmann Farms in Sunnyside. WA. The original title shows the car being registered to Schinmann Farms. On arrival from Sunnyside via flatbed. all of the belts and hoses were replaced. and the car was fully serviced with new fluids/filters. new tires and shocks. a rebuilt carb. new plugs/wires. et al. The car simply runs out great! A lot of care was exercised in getting the car back on the road and the time spent shows in how nice it drives. Please note the original plates! In Washington we can use these if the car is over 30 years and if the plate you want to use is year specific to your year of car. No more tabs! After we got the car. we rebuilt the tranny and installed all new exhaust. The exhaust system was the original and as we wanted the car to do tours and shows. we rebuilt the transmission out an abundance of caution. As these old cars rest the rear springs will want to go. and as we wanted to be able to tour with four persons. installed new rear OEM springs. and this car has the room for four adults with their luggage. and golf clubs. We also completely went thru the brakes about 500 miles ago. serviced the A/C. had the car aligned and installed a new reproduction Delco battery. Everything works on the car with the exception of the power antennae and the repair of one speaker. we have not tried the factory eight track deck. The paint and interior are in great condition. The paint shines deeply and the leather and carpets are like new. The color combination of Jasper Green against a white vinyl top and white leather is spectacular. Our friend had the right rear quarter panel sprayed. we had some rock chips touched up. and we did a strong professional detail/paint conditioning. which cost around $600. Other than that. the paint shows as original and a new set of Cadillac mats are included. We would consider something in trade; Antique toys. old advertising. and old motorcycles. Or? A very interesting car would be considered. but very reluctantly; the only reason we are selling is because we want/need to build a garage and we are out of room.
