Description of 1968 Plymouth GTX

This is an original 68 GTX 440 HP automatic convertible not a clone. It is 1 of 506 that were produced from what I have been able to find out. I am listing this for an older friend of mine that is getting on in age and wants some one else to get to enjoy it. This is an adult driven car only and has never been stressed. The car was restored 15+ years ago and has been driven between 2000 and 5000 miles since this was done. This is originally a southern car. Body wise when the car was bought it had been a parts car for someone who had taken one front fender and parts of the qrt panels off the body. The engine and trans were missing as well. The car received a new old stock front fender and new qrt panels available back then. The doors. hood. deck lid and other front fender were rust free with some minor dents that were taken care of. The floor had some repairs done as well as the trunk floor. The structural members of the car are solid and were never touched. The rockers are original. untouched. and the dark on them is under coating. The car was originally black with a blue interior and white roof. The car was painted b5 blue and the seats. carpet. roof. glass back window and boot were replaced. The door panels. ect in the interior are original. A 440 and transmission were rebuilt to factory 68 HP specs with correct exhaust manifolds and was updated to electronic ignition and charging. It has a 8 ¾ posi rear end. It is a dual exhaust car. Anything that the car needed was rebuilt or replaced as he is a picky guy when doing a car. this is not his first resto. and does everything right away that it needs so it doesn't have to be worked on again except for regular maintenance. The car does have some flaws as it was done 15+ years ago. but was never used as a daily driver and garage kept with his other toys. The car still has all the original badges and trim.
