Description of 1962 Plymouth Valiant |
This is a very rare opportunity to own a true survivor! This little 1962 Plymouth Valiant has been pampered all of its life and is in remarkable, riginal condition. There are only a little over 16,000 miles on the clock and it shows. The only non-original parts, xcept for routinely serviced items (filters, uel pump, attery, tc.), re the carpet and headliner. The carpet was replaced in about 2008 and the headliner around 2009. The rest of the interior is factory and in near new condition. The driver's seat has two small spots, ot holes, hich show a little wear. One on the driver's seat cushion and one on the driver's seat back. See pictures below. The exterior has no major dents nor have I found any visual history of major damage. All chrome and bright work are in excellent condition. There are a few little spots that have been touched up with touch up paint. I have found absolutely no rust anywhere. The car was originally purchased on the east coast so the underside was undercoated. I cannot say for sure if it was a dealer add or done later in its life but appears original. Everything screams original. I have extensive documentation chronicling the lifetime of this little gem including copies of titles and transfers, ictures and printed historical essays from past owners, f which there have only been three. Not counting a dealer who purchased it from the estate after the original owner passed away. Also included are Owner's Manuals, nd factory Service Manuals (2). The original owner and family only drove 500 miles between new and 1987! The original owner purchased the car in May of 1962 and, nfortunately, assed away in October of 1962. Her son put it in storage until 1987 when it was transfered toa dealer. The Valiant was purchased by a gentleman and his wife from the dealer in November of 1987. They owned her until 2003, hen it was sold to a gentleman in New Jersey. He owned it until selling for the last time to the current ownerwith 11,100 miles on the odometer. My very good friend passed away a short time ago and I am now honored to offer his beloved Valiant to someone who, opefully, ill continue to love and treat his car in the manner it deserves and has been since 1962. Multiple awards including 1st prize in New Hope, ennsylvania, 3rd in Hershey, ennsylvania and 2nd in class at the 1996 WPC Nationals event in Detroit.
