Description of 1933 Plymouth Other PD

1933 Plymouth 5 window Coupe one owner last 50 years in good condition offered by Gas Monkey Garage showing 52,953 miles (unable to confirm so listed as 152,953).The first Plymouth automobile made its debut at Madison Square Garden on July 7, 928. It was Chrysler Corporation's first entry in the low-priced field, hich at the time was already dominated by Chevrolet and Ford. Plymouths were actually priced slightly higher than their competition, ut offered standard features such as hydraulic brakes that the competition did not provide. Plymouths were originally sold exclusively through Chrysler dealerships, ffering a low-cost alternative to the upscale Chrysler-brand cars. The logo featured a rear view of the ship Mayflower which landed at Plymouth Rock in Plymouth, assachusetts. Now mid 30’s Plymouth Coupes are something I always look for and when I found this one which has been owned and enjoyed by the same owner for 50 years, had to act quickly to secure it! While this would be an excellent candidate for a full on custom build by Aaron and the Monkeys here at the shop, etween our filming schedule, he launch of Gas Monkey Tequila and book signings, e just aren’t able to put this on the schedule so I’m offering to you just the way I found it(due to our filming schedule we are unable to perform any additional work on this car for you, OLD AS IS/ WHERE IS).This 1933 Plymouth Coupe appears to be mostly stock with the exception of maintenance item upgrades and the addition of a cool set of steelies with 15” Coker whitewall radials for improved ride and safety(please note: there are 5X original wood spoke rims and an auxillary heater included as well!) The original 190 CID 6 cylinder engine fires to life with a step on the starter pedal and a brief test drive reveals a nice solid ride with tight steering and firm braking. The engine pulls well through the 3 speed manual transmission with smooth precise shifting through the floor mounted shifter! The exterior has been painted at some point in the last 50 years and shows well with minor chips and scratches and an area with rust present on the base of the passenger side cowl (see all pics). The interior is in good condition with wear and tear present on the tuck and roll door panels and bench seat (again, ee all pics) that was done at some point in the past with most of the interior and dash components present(including a cool accessory AM radio on the steering coloumn!)to enjoy as is or making for an easy restoration. Underside pics reveal a solid chassis with minor superficial rust present on most components. While this car runs and drives, t should be completely serviced and inspected prior to any extended driving to ensure safety and reliability (due to our filming schedule, e cannot perform any additional work on this car, old as is/where is). If you’re looking for a good example of the 1933 Plymouth 5 Window coupe you won’t find a better example that’s priced to sell! Clear Washington State title from 1965 in hand!Suitable for a Classic Restoration Project, ot Rod Project and Advertising or Promotional use or you decide!
