Description of 1970 Plymouth Fury Sport Fury |
Your chance to own a unique bit of history. Our church bought this car and modified it to resemble the Bluesmobile for a promotion. We do not have a long history for this car as we only drove it in a few parades and events in our community. It has some rust, ipped/worn seats, eyed door and fender panels. The VIN says this is a 6 cylinder but it has 8 ignition wires so it looks like this has been upgraded to an 8. We added the huge roof speaker and a Cobra CB radio to be able to play music and use as a megaphone in parades. On Sep-21-15 at 19:47:35 PDT, eller added the following information: REVISION: I mis-read the VIN. The C is a G. See the new photo. Now it all makes sense. It is the original G - 318 1-2BBL 8 Cylinder "LA" engine On Sep-22-15 at 21:00:05 PDT, eller added the following information: I hadn't run the car yet since the battery was not fully charged. I jumped it and it fired right up. I just took it out today and "drag raced" through the church parking lot. It ran fine, ven chirped the tires. A bit of a tick-tick sound when I started it. After driving it was smoother. I made a video of the engine running on fast idle and will try to upload.youtu.be/rC8aXyzSAkUThere was a bit of white smoke in the left tail pipe but we haven't run the car in 6 months.
