Description of 1968 Plymouth Other

Beautifully restored rust free car originally from N.C. This car is super straight and has a fresh show quality professional paint job (Deep Impact Blue base coat/clear coat). The paint job alone cost over $5000. The floor pans and frame rails are perfect. They have been cleaned and painted black. The bumpers were straightened and rechromed and all new weatherstrip/ rubber was installed throughout the car. All of the original glass is in very good condition. The original stainless trim is in excellent condition. Ithas a recently rebuilt and built up 360 with a 727 transmission and 8 3/4 391 Posi rearend. This car is not for the faint of heart! It has been played with on the street(scaring a few ford and chevy guys) but never raced at the track.
The car has almost all new interior including new Scat Procar front seats, ew headliner, ew door panels,New carpet, new dash cap, ackage tray, glove box liner, and steering wheel. Hush mat was installed under the carpet to keep the noise down. It has a new Sun super tach and aftermarket gauges installed in addition to the factory. I installed a new speedo cable and re calibtated gear in the tranny for the tire and rearend size. The gas gauge doesnt work because there is no sending unit in the fuel cell.
The car has had some modifications: The frame has been tied and the car has been mini tubbed and the axles shortened and green axle bearings installed. It has a nice set of Weld wheels and Mickey Thompson tires with the dog bone tread pattern. There is still room for bigger tires. It has a fuel cell in the trunk and the battery was relocated to the trunk. It has a battery quick disconnect. The car retains the full interior. It has manual steering and brakes. With discs in the front and drums in the rear. The front suspension and brakes were completely rebuilt. The K member was swapped to a 73 and up model. This gave the car front disc brakes and stronger motor mounts. It has a new Hurst promatic 2 shifter. Overall it drives and stops and shifts very well.
The engine was recently completely rebuilt. It has an oversized cam, orted and polished J heads, n Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, arb, uel pump and lines, t has an MSD ignition box and wires and ceramic coated Hooker headers, new 2 1/2" aluminized exhaust and Edelbrock mufflers. The exhaust stops at the rearend. The car is a little loud but sounds great. The tranny was also rebuilt by the previous owner. I installed a new chrome pan with a drain plug and reuseable gasket. It leaks a little. I must have over tightened the bolts a bit. It also has a new chrome alternator, ini starter, ocar tranny kickdown cables, nd under the hood chrome goodies for the car shows.
This is one of the nicest Valiants you will find. Let me know if any questions or would like more pics. Good luck and happy bidding!!!
