THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION THE HIGHEST BIDDER WILL TAKE THIS CUDA HOME. Here is the one you have been waiting for the Holy Grail of muscle cars a true 1970 340 Cuda. This absolutely gorgeous car underwent a ground up restoration in the past year and looks amazing. 10's of thousands were spent on the restoration and the car shows it, t's a super nice car that fits in at any show and draws a crowd, ut was built right so you can drive it for years to come. To start off this Cuda was taken down to bare metal, ny areas of rust were cut out and replaced with metal, hich was not much. Most of the panels are original to the car and all the gaps are near perfect. 3 coats of primer were laid down sanded in between coats, ollowed by 5 coats of high quality base (I have the paint code for the new owner and some leftover paint). 4 Coats of clear were then applied and it was wet sanded and buffed to a mirror finish as you see. The paint job is not a 25,000 show paint job but very high quality at the very least and definitely will win some trophies at any show as you can tell by the pictures. There is no rust on this car, ll of the bumpers and trim were restored and the bumpers were sand blasted and primed and painted to match the car and they look amazing and really let this Cuda stand out from the others. Brand new correct 340 decals were added to give it that aggressive classic Cuda look. The interior I had pretty much completely replaced, tarting with brand new insulation under the carpet for heat and noise reduction to brand new carpet. Brand new sill plates, ew seat covers and foam, ad the front and rear door panels completely restored and they look like new with new hardware. New headliner with sail panels and new trim, ew pedal pads were just installed also. All of the gauges work with the exception of the tachometer that needs the adapter for the current distributor and the clock. The radio quit working recently but I believe it is just a ground it has a nice speaker set up in the rear package tray. Car is equipped with the correct Rallye dash as stated along with a brand new dash pad that was installed. All new weather-stripping were installed a year ago and still look great and all the glass is in great shape. The front windshield has a minor wiper mark that could perhaps be buffed out but it's not to noticeable and never bothered me. I had the console and pistol grip shifter completely restored and they look like new as well. All lights, urn signals, tc work as they should. The engine is an extremely healthy 340 that was rebuilt about 5000 miles ago, t has a forged crank with eagle rods, RP pistons 10 to 1 compression. Purple camshaft with 560 lift sounds very nasty with a nice thump pulling into shows. Aluminum intake with 650 4 corner dual pumper carburetor, 40 heads with stainless valves installed and extensive head porting. All Mallory ignition with MSD 6AL rev limiter control box. Hooker headers flowing into 3-inch custom exhaust, ith brand new 3" Cuda exhaust tips out the tail pan. I would say the engine has about 450 Horsepower it runs very strong I haven't noticed any leaks on my shop floor and all of my Mopar buddies love the sound. A nice chrome air cleaner with Mickey Thompson valve covers give it a custom look. Most of the cooling system was replaced a few years back that included a new radiator, ew water pump, ew hoses, nd thermostat. This car does not run hot I've had it sitting for 30 minutes in rush hour traffic without any problems. Trans is the correct 4-Speed all rebuilt with a stage 2 clutch very nice for the street. All hardened internals were installed with the correct 4-Speed Pistol Grip mentioned earlier. All of the bearings and seals were replaced as well and once again I do not notice any leaks on my floor. Transmission shifts super smooth just glides through all the gears and probably one of the best shifting Mopars I've owned. Rear is the original 8 ¾ with 3:55 Richmond gears installed and an Eaton posi-trac unit. All new bearings, eals, nd axles were installed a few years back and it rides out nice, o funny sounds, umming or noises. The suspension was completely gone through 2 years back with all new tie rods, ew springs, ew shocks, ew multi leaf springs in the rear with hardware. Car still rides like new and don't see anything that would need to be replaced in the near future. The brakes are as they should be, tops great haven't had any problems. Wheels and tires are nice Crager SS wheels with new tires up front and rear tires are about 50%. Rims show some very minor wear but as you can tell in the pictures they are extremely nice still. I am very picky and try to mention every flaw no matter how small I think it is. Underneath is very very solid. There is one small patch I saw on the drivers toe board that was done correctly metal was used, ut no other areas of rust or patches as I have seen the car up on a lift, hen I purchased it. I had the entire trunk pan replaced with metal because of surface rust, t also was done correctly with the old pan cut out and new one welded in. A correct full size Cuda wheel is included in the trunk for the shows. The entire fuel system was gone through about 2 years back with new lines and gas tank and everything still looks nice. As you can tell by the pictures this is a super nice Cuda, t honestly needs nothing but a driver and a show to go to. It is very dependable and has had well over 40,000 spent in the recent restoration not including the original purchase price of the car which anyone knows isn't cheap. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer one I looked for years before I found this one and am sad to part with it. But I have a 1962 Corvette I'm restoring so I need to make room. Any questions call Frank at 863-381-4954 or to schedule an appointment to come look at the car. Car is sold AS-IS and I have a clear Florida title and I can promise you my cars are as advertised you can look at my feedback I'm very honest. Remember this is a NO RESERVE auction so the high bidder will take this true muscle car home with a smile on their face the entire time. |
