1973 Plymouth Fury I Police Replica 318 V-8 Engine/Auto trans Factory A/C The car has been restored as a police car replica. It was not originally a police car, or is it a "police package" vehicle. Car has 19,200 original miles. The original owner was an elderly gentleman in Penna. Restoration started November 2013 with 12,000 miles in poor shape from not being cared for. The following mechanical work was done at that time: Full tune up/plugs/wires/points/dist cap/rotor All new brakes, &R, ncluding calipers and rotors where needed All new shocks, eavy duty spring loaded in rear Repacked all wheel bearings with new seals Rebuilt alternator New battery New voltage regulator All new belts & hoses Carb rebuilt New valve cover gaskets 5 BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires Air conditioning serviced: A/C is in working order, ut it needs recharged in the spring due to a small leak somewhere in the system. The following body work was done during the 2013-14 winter: All new base coat/clear coat paint, opar code B-7 blue, -1 white NO RUST was found anywhere on the body. Some dings and dents were repaired, ll minor. The following interior work was also done during the same period: Front bench, ear bench and door panels professionally recovered. All other interior surfaced were refinished with SEM interior vinyl paints New rubber/vinyl flooring installed in lieu of carpeting Dynamat insulation was installed throughout the interior prior to installation of components Speedometer: original speedo showing correct mileage, owever installed is a new decal overlay showing the speedo to be a "Police Certified" unit The following police equipment has been added and is included: Federal Signal model 175 beacon ray with newly chromed skirt and new red dome Federal Signal model 28 vintage mechanical siren under hood with foot switch on floor Motorola Motrac two-way radio control head with matching microphone and speaker, ll NOS Motorola low-band whip antenna Unity S-6 vintage spotlight Accurate period correct markings for the Annapolis MD police dept. What's needed: Fuel gauge does not work, his is a common ailment of 72-73 Mopar C-body cars. Interior dome light does not work; I have not diagnosed the issue. The car has been DRIVEN for two years all over the Northeast to shows and police events. It is extremely road worthy and rides great with absolutely no issues.
