Description of 1968 Plymouth Barracuda

Original owner of 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible.
Starts and runs although we have not driven car much for last 18 years.
There is rust that needs work.
The convertible top cannot be replaced until body work done on rear deck to deal with rust.
I will try to show some of the rust issues with pictures.

Almost everything on this car is original. The only thing replaced was the carb in 1982.
The 318 still starts easily and runs a little rough now after intermittent start up over the last 12 years. May just need some carb or timing adjustment.
The transmission works well and it never gave any problems over the 103k of use.
The electrical still works for light, witches, nd blinkers.
Factory air not used since the dash switch had and issue years ago. The heater core needs to be replaced. The windshield is in good condition.
The convertible hydraulic pump motor runs but the hydraulic does not engage, ay just need fluid or a seal kit.
Original radio, ot working. Original seats, ucket seats in the front recovered once still in fair condition. The dash and instrument are really in pretty good shape.
The gas tank was replaced and has been used very little while the car is in storage in my garage.
The brakes were reworked from drums to the master cylinder including the power booster and have not been used appreciably since.
Having not enough time and interest has stopped me from fixing the roof and using the car. I used to drive it to work for years until we failed to renew the registration in 1998.
It sat for six years and we had to relocate so we did some of the items above. But the convertible roof replacement stalled because of rust underneath the rear deck anchoring for the metal clamp rail that holds the canvass. Just have not gotten back to the fix for this. Overall, his is a pretty good and rare 1968 Barracuda convertible.
