Description of 1977 Plymouth Fury |
Please Note: This car is temporarily located in NYC until April 3rd or 4th. If you are in the NY/NJ/Conn. area please feel free to contact me and arrange a visit and see this car. This is a one-owner car from the western US that I purchased for this project with no body rust and very low mileage. It is not a police package car, in fact it originally was a high end Fury Salon. I have detrimmed it in the restoration process to a base model NYPD car. It has undergone a complete restoration (mechanical, paint, and body). I recently (3/20/16) drove this car over 800 miles in one day from Atlanta, Georgia to Princeton, New Jersey with no problems whatsoever. The list of new replacement parts is extensive and quite honestly too long to list here. The short list is that I have replaced the gas tank, fuel pump, carburetor, entire ignition system, 3 core radiator, high output water pump, entire front end assembly including new torsion bar suspension, replaced the 58 amp alternator with a 100 amp for the light and siren load, replaced the rear shocks with new air adjustable shocks, repaired and refurbished the A/C system, brand new battery, new voltage regulator, new tires, restored the engine compartment, complete Tune-up, and multiple oil changes. I have taken this car to NYC, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., without any problems. The car is entirely road worthy. The only current problem is that the accessory air pump (which is no longer needed) is making a noise on occasion. The paint is excellent and a little over two years old. The colors are NYPD correct as well as the lettering. The lights, siren, accessories, and trunk lights are all NYPD era correct. Please take a moment and view the pictures below. If you are the successful bidder and in the NY/NJ/Conn. area you can take delivery directly and save on transportation charges. Please feel free to ask any questions at anytime. Thank you.
