1 of only 795 1968 Sport Satellite Convertibles produced. Originally, car came with a 383 big block, but the previous owner thought that the car "needed a Hemi." This is one fun Mopar Hot Rod! This is a beautiful 1968 Plymouth Satellite "GTX Hemi Recreation" that has been fully restored with a frame off restoration and custom drivetrain. The custom metallic paint and straight body metal is ready for any local car show or cruise. The motor is a completely rebuilt custom high performance (Mopar block) 426 Hemi V8 engine at approximately 525 HP. The motor consists of Indy 426 aluminum heads, dual 4BBL Edlebrock 600 CFM carburetors with new hand built fuel lines and duel K&N air filters sitting in dual billet aluminum air cleaners. The motor has refurbished/restored correct black painted Indy Hemi aluminum valve covers and period correct factory style exhaust manifolds. The list of new accessories includes: all new belts and hoses, wires, plugs, battery, aluminum high flow water pump, fuel pump, HD polished aluminum radiator and front and rear suspension and bushings with HD sway bars front and rear. The motor is mounted to a rebuilt 727 -- 3 speed automatic transmission with 3000 stall converter and rebuilt rear 8¾" rear differential. Rebuilt front and rear disc brakes with dual master cylinders are behind Cop wheels. All door, hood and trunk gaps show well, and both doors close well and true, with all new rubbers and window felt kit. The car has a new power black vinyl top with new black vinyl tonneau convertible cover and all of the chrome/brightwork shows very well and in nearly new condition. Fully functional ram air Hemi hood scoop added for carburetor clearance, and is accented with custom 426 Hemi script and side pin stripping applied to the vehicle. This car will make a great cruiser or show stopper at your local car show or cruise in. The vehicle is located in Scottsdale, AZ and stored in a climate-controlled facility. Inspections are welcome, at the buyers expense.
