Description of 1970 Plymouth Duster Vitamin C |
For sale is my 1970 Plymouth Duster, but not just a Duster, this is a Triple numbers matching (engine, trans, rear end) virtually untouched find. This Duster is painted in original Vitamin C Orange with black vinyl interior. The paint is about 16 years old and is very good. The sheet metal appears to be original with the exception that I think one of the rear quarters have been replaced. I can only tell because from the inside one side had a sprayed on insulation covering and the other does not. In any event it has been on for a ling time and there are no cracks or waves, even the pros at the car shows cant tell me which side may be replaced. This rare car is a survivor as very little has been done to the car other than the wheels being replaced. I have the original wheels that go with it but they will need to refinished if you want to use them. You'll even notice that I left the original exhaust manifolds on the original 340 engine rather than install headers (try finding that!) With less than 85,000 actual miles logged on the odometer, it is a regular local car show driver. You will not find this car spinning with mirrors at a car show, but rather a perfect car to hope in and drive to a coffee and cars show. This is actually the car I taught my daughter to do burnouts in! This car is 46 years old and needs diddling with. Get in and drive it, it has all new front suspension parts, but it does have some of the squeaks rattles and leaks of a 46 year old car. The car brings all kinds off attention at car shows, because people relate to them. It's typical for many people to take pictures a day, as many of them say "my dad had one of these!" The car is for sale as is where is. I strongly recommend you come and look at it first before purchasing. Please ask questions first. I have about 75 photos but was limited in this post to 24. If you are very interested let me know and I can send you more. I'm motivated to sell as I only put 201 miles on it last year, but lets not get silly either! Make me a fair offer. For originality this is about as good as they get! |
