For sale here is a very rare 1939 Plymouth pickup in very good condition. This cute little truck runs and drives and has good brakes. Starts right up and the engine sounds great. The manual transmission shifts well and the truck rides good for a '39. The truck doesn't get driven very often and has a slight smoke but gets less as it warns up. Engine was rebuilt by a previous owner. Runs well. As far as I can tell, it still has the original engine and transmission. The engine compartment is very clean and all looks correct. As you can see in the engine photo, most of the wiring has been replaced with new wiring. The body on this cool pickup is in great shape. Super solid all over. The oak bed is fairly new and has new stainless strips. I do have a set of original steel running boards that are in good shape, and a front bumper and bracket. Both sides of the hood open up and have posts to hold them up. The original hood side hold downs work well. This one does have the crank-out windshield. Also has the push up cowl vent. The underside is in really nice condition. Has near new exhaust and a near new gas tank. There is little if any rust underneath this truck. Its very good looking under there as seen in the photos. The interior of this '39 Plymouth is also nice. The bench seat is in great shape and is comfortable. The carpet is very good and the headliner was replaced also and looks very good. The door panels are very good and the painted dash is nice as well. Overall, a very nice black interior! The speedometer works (seems to read a little slow) and the other gauges work also with the exception of the fuel gauge. I'm working on that. I'm also tinkering with the headlight switch. This very cool '39 Plymouth rides good on the radial tires and will be a fun one to take on short trips to the hardware store. Please feel free to ask questions. Truck is sold in as-is condition. Inspection is available.
