Description of 1948 Plymouth Other business coupe

One of a kind 1948 Plymouth Business Coupe. Special Deluxe hot rod / rat rod! This is a "turn key" car. Buy it and drive it! Steel body with some filler. Not perfect a perfect show car. but a real driver. Built by ASE professional with 20 years mechanical experience for personal use. Now its time to pass it on to someone else! Solid car with very minimal rust. Drives and turns nice and smooth. Stops great. Accelerates great. 1968-1972 GM A body frame ( chevelle. skylark. GTO. Lemans. Malibu) with 4 link rear suspension. coil over front suspension with front disc brakes and power steering. Body and paint is still rough in my opinion. It has dents and dings. especially on the trunk lid. I did not build this to trailer or to "shine and show". It is mean looking. great sounding and runs very well! GM 400 V-8 engine with mild cam. gear drive. headers. dual exhaust with glass pack mufflers. nbsp;edelbrock tunnel ram. electronic ignition and holley double pumper 650 carb. TH 375 3spd automatic transmission and B&M shifter customized. New painless wiring. new brake calipers. nbsp; brake pads. rear brake shoes and slave cylinders. new axle seals and front & rear bearings. new drive shaft & u joints. new shocks. new window glass (except door side glass). new carpet. It has a speedometer. tach. volt. oil pressure and gas gauges. All lighting and signals work. Fabricated tilt front end. suicide doors. custom body work and paint. custom interior. custom chainsaw blade mohawk. Body has had all handles. trim and latches removed and smoothed. Basically a total custom frame-up build over the last 4 years. Driven and tested for over 2500 miles. If you want to arrange shipping. that is also your responsibility and your cost. A deposit of $500 will be due 48 hours after auction ends. The rest of the sum will be collected when you get the car and I sign the title over to you. I do have some trim parts. door handles. window regulator knobs and misc. parts to go with car's sale. Clean title in my name. Call 530 412 0526 for question or more details. On Dec-31-14 at 08:52:36 PST. seller added the following information: A few more things I wanted to add: The metal of this car is very solid. I took it down to bare metal before I sealed and painted it summit racing "satin black". I cut out any rust areas on the floor and in the trunk and welded in patches. then sealed them. The firewall is all sealed up. too. There are some patches with filler. too. This is not a rust bucket or a "fred flinstone" that your feet punch through to the ground! This build was done from 2010-2014 and has been stored inside a garage. The seat cover and headliner are Mexican blankets direct from Jalisco. Mexico. This car is registered. insured in CA as a 1948 Plymouth and clearly does not require any smog certifications! I will be glad to walk the buyer through the operation of the car and show him/her all other details of it. If you want to call me. please do so between 9am-7pm Pacific Standard Time. please! On Jan-01-15 at 11:11:14 PST. seller added the following information: I had a call asking about the rims and tires so here is all that info: Front- Basset racing rims with 225/60/15 Futura Super Sport tires around 85% tread remaining. Rear- Basset racing rims with 295/50/15 Futura Super Sport tires at 75% tread remaining. They hold air just fine and give the car a great looking stance. Nice wide. grippy tires in back and sleek. good steering tires in front! They do not rub the fenders or the frame. nbsp;in case you are wondering. If you want. I have an extra set of 70's style Mag rims and tires that I will include with the sale of the car.
