Description of 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Chasis |
Selling a fully assembled Schwartz G Machine Chassis for a 1970 to 1974 Plymouth Barracuda or Cuda. It would require some modification to fit other E Bodies. The chassis is in new condition and has never had a body set on it. We are dealers and installers for Schwartz Performance and the chassis has been sitting in my showroom for over a year. We have taken it to several shows to demonstrate the product. This Chassis with its options was over $19,000 new. It has wooden wheels to allow it to be rolled. Specifications are detailed in the pictures and include, Moser 9" rear with aluminum third member with true-trac posi, RideTech single stage adjustable coil overs, Wilwood 4-piston caliper brakes with 12" slotted rotors, quick ratio rack and pinion steering, and classic big block motor mounts. Chassis was powdercoated in Satin Black and fully assembled by Schwartz Performance. NOTICE: Please do your research on this chassis prior to placing a bid. They do require your to cut out and remove your front frame rails, torsion bar crossmember and other brackets and to modify your rear frame rails. You will need to adapt your steering column to the steering rack on the chassis and make other modifications to your vehicle. Installing this chassis is a job for a professional. Schwartz does not provide installation instructions with their chassis and no instructions or tech support are included in this auction. No warranties express or implied. I have provided a couple of links below to assist you with your research. For details on the chassis go to: http://www.schwartzperformance.com/mopar-e-body-cuda-challenger-chassis-full-frame/ A Schwartz Chassis was used on Project Ultra Violet and the install can be seen in this video: https://www.powernationtv.com/episode/DM2014-22/project-ultra-violet-framed Schwartz backlog to build and deliver a chassis is over 12 weeks. Here is your chance to pick one up that is ready to go. The chassis and all its components are in great shape, but do show a minor wear from handling and sitting as seen in the pictures. We are selling the chassis to make room for another project in our showroom as we have no plans to build a Cuda at present. Our loss is your gain. Shipping is the responsibility of the Buyer. We are happy to work with your shipper in coordinating the pickup and loading the chassis. Deposit of $500 is due at the close of the auction and the balance is due within seven days. I will do my best to answer any questions. Please go to the Schwartz site and watch the Ultra Violet video prior to asking questions. All bids are binding and retractions/cancellations will not be agreed to. On Feb-15-17 at 10:01:18 PST, seller added the following information: I can deliver the chassis in an enclosed trailer for $1/mile both ways. Payment must be received in full prior to my loading the chassis. Delivery will be within one week of receiving final payment. |
