1969 383 4 speed drop top. True RM Matching numbers. Frame on 4 year old restoration, no rust. with BUILD SHEET. Body- No rust, new paint. new quarters, rockers, trunk pan. Great car for driver. Engine - (rebuilt by T&D machine in Kenmore WA. The owner of T&D figured horsepower to be about 390 HP and a little over 400 HP if a fan clutch is installed.) 383 new rebuild with 500 miles. Line bored, 30 over, balanced and blueprinted. Engine was decked. Original pistons, 510 cam. New Holley dual feed 650 carburetor. MSD ignition, coil and distributor. Have original engine parts including carb. Heads - port, polished and shaved. I believe there was over sized/race valves in it from previous rebuild. Transmission - rebuilt by B&R transmission outside Tulsa Oklahoma. Yes, I sent it to Oklahoma. Brian the owner races in Tulsa and has done many transmission for NHRA and NASCAR. He had an original transmission from a very low mile '69 roadrunner. He used those original gears, not aftermarket. So the housing is matchingnumber originaltransmission. I have $8000 invested in engine and transmission. Hurst competition/race clutch installed. Interior - floor pans wire-wheeled and undercoated, new carpet, new upholstery on seats and headrests, with one of a kind roadrunners embroidered in.Currently working on the rest of interior and gauges. Has aftermarket triple gauges installed under dash. No holes were drilled for gauges. Top- new white top, hydraulic lift works great. Rally wheels with rings, old school Lemans white letter tires not available anymore but tires are in great shape. Have roadrunner stickers too. I have not put them on because I wanted to do a better polish job first.The only part that is not original is the left front fender so no fender tag. I have the build sheet though.I am third owner of car, and I know the original owner and second owner. Second owner stored car in his shop for 15 years until I FINALLY convinced him to sell it to me.Please go to Hagerty website and check value for a 1969 roadrunner convertible.I put the car at low #3 GOOD maybe on 2nd or 3rd of ten shelves between a #3 and #2 EXCELLENT. Should give everyone an idea of its value. Around $45G? the 4 speed adds a little more value I think. I'm not a car appraiser.If you want a GREAT classic muscle car convertible that runs well, looks great, but needs some of the final finishes done. Here is the car for you!only 769 convertible 383 4 speed cars were made. A LOT of them didn't survive. Not a super rare care but pretty rare!!Here are questions and answers to them....... *is this an original B7 car (color)? yes *do you have the blue cowl for the convertible top? yes but its dirty, old *do you have the fender tag? no. Have a build sheet, reproduction tag can be made by Galen's Tag Service or MMC Detroit. They will only produce it with copy of Build sheet or other proof it is an original RM car. Which i have. *are the door hinges strong or do they droop? strong * what gauges dont work? speedo makes noise, gas has new sending unit but only registers at half when full. I haven't messed with Volts or Oil pressure yet. It has triple gauges under dash in a screw hole.*horn works? oh yea!! beep beep!! *is there any fluid leaks? engine top, engine bottom, trans or rear, radiator / cooling system? no leaks!! *heater work? or by-passed? heater and fan works good *is that an AM-8 track? AM only original but does not work, I didn't fix it because I bought an 8 track for it, but it turned out to be for E body so i din't install it, it comes with the car. *glass ok? chip in windshield, passenger back window needs fixed, have glass and parts. Windshield has sticker on it from 70's that says car could not be driven from November to April. *window cranks ok? yes all 4 work good *looks like car is on lot, are you a dealer?I am not a dealer, my buddy owns a classic car restoration and sales shop, some photos were takenthere while it was being worked on. |
