Description of 1965 Plymouth Other Chrome |
This is a beautiful, two door, 1965 Plymouth Valiant with 59,125 original miles on a slant-6 engine. I have the original owner's repair/operation manual along with the history of care by the original owner. * Please note I do need to retrieve these items from moving boxes. But will happily include them with the car. I am the sole owner of the car, with the clear title in hand. This is a three on the tree type car. It runs and drives great! The interior does need some love and there is some small rust areas that I have made sure to photograph. These small areas are located on the corner of the back window and front bumper area, sides of the trunk, and there is a small portion on the underside which you will see in photos. There are no parts that have rusted through by any means. I do have the original keys as well. One for the ignition and one for the trunk. The paint was refreshed locally about 11 years ago, just to give it a clean up/shine. I have personally spoken to the painter that did this work and he stated that there were no major repairs, rust etc that it was simply refreshed to look pretty. As it was stored by the original owner in a barn for years. I was going to redo the interior, repair the small rust areas as well as refresh the overall paint due to repairs. But, I recently have had to take on my father's affairs which includes many classic vehicles. I just feel that having this as an added project will just be too much for me to deal with. The body is straight, alignment is great and it shifts very smoothly. I did have some tuneup work done to the engine, had the break pads and lines checked, had the carburetor rebuilt, replaced the battery and had the fuel lines checked out as well. So it does start nicely, run smoothly, clean, doesn't burn through oil and I have no leaks to note. I have continued to start, run and drive the car around the block to keep it active. I wish to state this so that it is known that it hasn't just sat and as an explanation for why I rounded mileage up. But, I do need to drain the little bit of gas remaining and put new gas in it as my work schedule and recent move hasn't allowed me to start up/drive as I should over the last few months. **I would also like to note that while I have spent time building classic cars and engines in the past. They have mainly been 68 Camaro's, Ford pickups and broncos ranging from 77-79. So, Chrysler/Mopar is not my strongest suite but I will attempt to answer any questions you may have to the best of my ability. This car is being sold AS IS. There are no warranties offered with this car nor are there returns. I have photographed and explained this car to the best of my ability. If payment is not paid in full in the allotted time frame your deposit will not be returned. If you wish to speak to my mechanic I am sure this can be arranged. |
