Description of 1969 Plymouth Barracuda

I've owned this car since 1988 when it was purchased at the recommendation of a good friend who is the best mechanic north of Smoky Yunick's garage. I detailed the engine bay about 3 1/2 years ago, rebuilt the brakes with new drums, pistons and DOT 5 fluid. The fuel tank and sending unit were replaced. I replaced the Dual Point distributor (saved) with a rebuilt unit. It developed a running problem. My friend identified the problem and installed the Mopar electronic ignition as shown in pics. The only running problem right now is that the manifold heat riser valve is broken. I've installed an electric choke "Edelbrock" 600 cfm carb to make it start and run correctly (original Carter AVS saved). I've only just finished a "quick and dirty" cleanup in order to take pictures and get the car listed. There are some small things that need attention, since some of the dust from the paint and body shop is still present and the car has been in my carport awaiting a good cleaning. I will give the car further attention when I return from an emergency trip to Seattle about the middle of September.
The Cuda runs and drives great but is in need of a new set of tires as the ones on it are 20 years old and not to be trusted. The Hurst shifter works well and the car just needs to be driven.
All the chrome: bumpers, wheels, exhaust tips is in great shape and will clean up. The vinyl is excellent except for the split along the stitching in the right seat. All the vinyl is serviceable and could use cleaning and coating. TheTach doesn't work, rubber cups over tie rod ends have split, etc. I'll try to do all these additional detail repairs when I return, just depends on the buyer. These small things are enjoyable to do, as all the major lifting has been done.
I'm selling this car as I have three other Barracudas, which include another '69 Cuda with automatic, AC, pwr steering etc. And that one is more suitable for a 70 year old than the adrenaline producer this one is. I have a suitable flatbed and an enclosed trailer to assist in transporting the car. PLEASE CALL ME at (256) 734-5078 for any questions you may have about car condition, payment and delivery options. If you text me I'll return the call as soon as possible. The car can be inspected if you know someone local near Cullman AL. I'll be driving back to Seattle starting early tomorrow morning and back in two weeks.
If you're reading this far, you know how rare this unmolested, numbers matching, muscle car is. It was minimally outfitted and engineered for the sole purpose of going quickly from a dead stop. And for cruising and showing off. I just never found the time, so it's time to move on. I'm searching for Gauvin's website and will try to come up with production numbers and those still known to exist. If anyone can help me, please feel free to do so with the numbers.
