Description of 1965 Plymouth Barracuda

Hello. This auction is for a 1965 Plymouth Barracuda 2 door fastback. This California car retains all of its original NO rust body panels and has never been in a wreck. It has a clean CA title and is ready to cruise anywhere you want to go. The engine is a 1970 318 with an aluminum Edelbrock Performer 4 barrel intake manifold and a 600 CFM vacuum secondary carburetor. This car runs great with NO smoke or noises and has plenty of power. New water pump. timing chain and gears. fuel pump. air cleaner assembly. spark plugs. wires. cap and rotor. New ignition points and condenser. Engine block has new freeze plugs and correct 1965 red paint. Single exhaust with a Flowmaster muffler. NEW aluminum Champion radiator. new radiator hoses. NEW fan belts. Newer battery. new cables. Mopar mini starter. Power steering. No leaks! The transmission is the 3 speed automatic. New fluid. filter and pan gasket. Transmission is floor shifted. Smooth operation with no noises or leaks. Rear axle is the 7 1/4" unit with 2. 93 gears. New 75w90 gear oil. NEW brake master cylinder. wheel cylinders at each corner are new too. 10 inch drum brakes with the 5 on 4" small bolt pattern hubs. Brakes are firm and the car stops straight. The interior is mostly original and well preserved. There is wear but not excessive. The headliner is new and looks fantastic. The seats are original 1965 upholstery and are in great shape with the exception of the drivers side. There is wear at the left edge of the drivers seat visible in the pictures. This is temporarily covered with tape to keep the seat foam from wearing away. Door and kick panels are in nice condition but do show some wear. The dash pad is excellent. The sunvisors too. Carpet is faded a bit but still in nice condition. The AM radio does not work. The car is a single stage Black Urethane Enamel. The doors. trunklid and hood all open and close like new. You will be impressed with how solid the car feels. All glass is in great condition including the windshield. Nice grille and headlight bezels. nice emblems. taillight lenses and trim. Dual outside mirrors. New trunk weather stripping. Note the surface rust in spare tire well visible in pictures. The trunk floor and underbody is solid. No rust or scale anywhere on the underbody or frame rails. 14" rally wheels with stainless trim rings and NEW 205-70-14 radial tires. The car comes with the original jack mounted in the stock location. These first generation Barracudas are popular for many reasons. They are solid & reliable and they have classic 1960s styling. The mechanical features of these cars are very simple. Parts are easily found for maintenance or repair. This car is mostly factory stock. leaving the buyer to modify it or enjoy it as it is.
