1959 Plymouth Belvedere bought from the original owners family member that had been sitting near Lubbock Texas since 1982. Title was lost but I acquired a clean title in my name through a title company. Brand new tires were installed to get it on the trailer, got it home and with a new battery and some gas and it fired right up. I have since aquired an original bubble windshield in near perfect condition and had it installed. After a good tune up,new fuel pump, belts and hoses, oil and transmission fluid change and complete replacement of all hydraulic components in the brake system I have a very nice driving old Plymouth. This car has the very rare and desirable front bumper wings and deck lid simulated spare tire trim. No power steering or brakes but someone early in its life installed a Sears after market a/c system that is all there and hooked up and even still has some freon in it but I have not tried to get it going yet but the fan does blow air. The radiator was replaced with an after market aluminum unit but I still have the original in good shape. The only things that don't work are the speedometer, clock, blinkers and brake lights. I just haven't had time to do much else to it is why I haven't fixed these things as I have 2 other projects going right now. This car runs and drives beautifully. The engine is so smooth and quiet you barely here it running. Trans shifts great, steers and stops very well. As seen in the pics, the body and trim has dents on the side. The quarter panel on the right side only, has some rusted through places. All of this is very fixable and I have all of the trim that is missing off the car in the truck as well as all the hard to find headliner pieces. The floor has very little rust through and the truck floor has none and even has the original trunk mat present in good shape. These is no other rust through anywhere else on the car. The truck lip is perfect and even the truck weatherstrip is still soft and all there. I have had several of these finned plymouths and I have never seen one so rust free of this vintage. I also ordered the build card from FCA and even though it shows the car was bought new in North Dakota it must not have spent much time there due to minimal rust. These cars go for big money restored which is what I wanted to do but I see that I will never get that far and I'm hoping someone can take it from where I have left off. What's left of the paint is all original and the original upholstery is under the after market seat covers someone installed. Call Billy 254-368-0605. Located in central Texas
