Description of 1970 Plymouth Barracuda |
Hi Guys, Awesome project car here. I just doubled down on a Sixpack Shaker Cuda and I'm going to put a few of my projects up for sale. This Cuda you see here is one I had to have but now its time to pass the torch. This Car is a really nicely optioned car. I've had a lot of very cool mopars through the years but this was my first Elastomeric bumper car to come through my possession. This my friends is a REAL DEAL blue chip collector grade car. Please listen when I tell you to not waste your time restoring a illegitimate six cylinder or 318 car. Experienced collectors know its always, always, always important to find a car with the right pedigree when starting a project. This car has that pedigree. Cars of this caliber always rise in value its been proven for 50 years. Let me get right to the option codes listed on the fender tag. EF8 Ivy Green Metalic E63 383 high performance engine H6X9 High Grade black Bucket seat interior A21 Elastomeric Front Bumper A31 High performance Axle package (3:91 Axle ratio, sure grip, Maximum cooling, 7-blade torque drive fan, HEMI suspension!) A62 Rallye instrument cluster ( 150 mph speedo, Tach, woodgrain dash.....) C16 Console with woodgrain C55 Bucket seats G36 LH / RH painted racing mirrors J45 Hood Tie down pins J54 Sport Hood M21 Drip rial chrome M25 Rocker Mouldings (louvered gill type) M31 Body belt Mouldings (chrome on top edge of doors) M88 Deck Moudling treatment N41 Dual exhaust N42 Chrome Exhaust tips N85 racing Tachometer R11 Music master radio Y05 Built to order car 26 26" radiator END one odd fact, the car came with torque box's which I thought was reserved to Hemi and Sixpack Cuda's. I understand you Mopar aficionados didn't need the breakdown of the codes because you probably recite them upon awakening in the morning, I more or less put them there for the person just getting their introduction to our inner circle. Getting back to the car, whats not listed on the fender tag but I know came the car from old pictures was the Rimblow Wheel and Road Lamps. All of these options are what gravitated me to this car. The non vinyl roof is the only way to go in my opinion, the rallye dash, rimblow, rev happy 383 with the best gearset you could ask for, neck snapping shifts from the indestructible torqueflight trans, manual steering and brakes because real men favor road feel with a benefit of keeping the biceps toned when parallel parking. First notation, Mag wheels are not included with sale of the car, the car will be sold with rallye rims complete with trim rings and center caps, tires are aged but all match and look respectable. Second notation, I will offer the winning purchaser a $500 credit if I'm allowed to keep the door panels and substitute with ones that are not as nice. Included in auction but not pictured: 1970 383 HP block with correct HP 906 heads 1970 Console with top plate 727 Big Block torqueflight your choice of green 1972 Cuda seats in pictures or red 1970 Cuda seats that are not as nice but come with tracks as well. Bumper brackets with bumper cores (will need chroming by Tricity plating) Back seat (fabric and foam is torn but a core for restoration) extra K-frame New quarter panel, cant remember which side. New trunk extensions, both sides almost any missing chrome trim you see I have but it will be tweaked and twisted need restoration and polish Grill is in fairly good shape, theres some cracks but I didn't see any missing chunks, one would of been thrilled to find one like this 15 years ago before the reproductions came along. Expect to have to deal with some rust areas, the cowl by the wiper motor, trunk floor, lower quarters, lower fenders etc. All in all there's some guys who wish their car was as clean and original as this one. I unfortunately do not have any tail lamps for the car. I haven't pulled the ham out to check the ratio but its the 489 case and rear still has its painted red brake drums so I doubt its ever been apart. Gentlemen, please reach out to me with any questions and I'll do my absolute best to get back to you in a timely manner. Leave a number or 631 twozero four fifty five ninetyeight. I encourage all questions early in the bidding. Personal inspections are always welcome. Shipping will be responsibility of the winning bidder. I ask the car to be paid in full with bank check, bank wire or green in person within 5 days of auction ending. $500 deposit through paypal required immediately fallowing auction ending. I have no issues keeping the car on my property for up to 60 days but take note it will have to be outside and it will need it to be insured by winning bidder. Car is currently registered in my name and I have possession of all clear transferable documents. I also have a v code challenger project for sale and parting out a 68 340 fastback Cuda. Car is being sold as a NO RESERVE auction. The highest bidder takes her home. Best of luck! |
