Description of 1973 Plymouth Barracuda Cuda 340 |
You are buying a 1973 Plymouth Cuda 340 4 Speed. Steve's Musclecars & Parts, Inc 479-430-4886 This a brand new restoration and has been only driven about 20 miles since completion. The car drives great, everything works properly and even the a/c blows ice cold. This is a very highly optioned car and is factory equipped with BS23H Cuda 340 package, 4 speed pistol grip transmission, factory a/c (very rare on a 4 speed car), bucket seats, console, 150 mph rallye dash with tachometer, black paint with white vinyl top and black interior, white side stripes, dual exhaust with chrome tips. These can all be verified with the fender tag (the tag on the car is a correct reproduction, we wanted to keep the original safe but it is included and has the exact same codes as the replacement shown). The car is also equipped with factory power disc brakes and an 8 3/4 rear end with 3.55 sure grip. This was a very solid car that only needed quarters, trunk floor and quarter extensions but the original fenders, frame rails, firewall, inner fenders, core support, cowling, roof, window channels, doors, trunk lid, hood are all original parts. The floors are originals that only needed a couple of small patches. The paint and body look great for a very high end driver or fun field showcar but not for a points judged car as this was meant to be more of a cruise night car and not a dedicated showcar. The vinyl top was professionally installed and looks excellent. The original engine and transmission are gone but the 4 speed is from another 73 E Body according to the case vin stamping and the engine is a 1972 340 steel crank unit. The engine was completely rebuilt and is .030 overbore and .010 crank. The correct heads, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, air cleaner, brackets, pulleys and accessories are all in place and have been refurbished as well. The 833 4 speed transmission was completely rebuilt and restored, clutch linkage is new, the shifter was rebuilt and the clutch is new. The correct pistol grip shifter looks great and the transmission shifts perfectly and smooth. All sub components were rebuilt including a/c compressor (converted to 134A), a/c hoses, 3 speed wiper motor, brake booster, steering column, a/c - heater box, dash cluster (restored by Instrument Services), steering gear box and pump. The thermoquad carb was sent off and rebuilt and runs great. The interior was refurbished with new seat covers, carpet, headliner, restored dash pad, reproduction new am/fm radio, restored dash gauges and components. The original door panels look fine for a driver but have some scratches and fading and would need replaced for a show car. The rear end is a 3.55 sure grip and has been completely serviced and is in excellent condition. For some reason the front and rear sway bars were removed but the rear spring plates are still there. A 500.00 Paypal deposit is required at the time of purchase and the balance is due within 7 days but the car can sit for a short time until transport can be arranged. There is a CLEAR TITLE in my name and the car is currently registered and tagged. Check out our other listings for more Nice Original and NOS Vintage Car and Truck Parts. |
